The TCU Horned Frogs take on the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday, October 21. Here are the key players on the KSU team that TCU fans should know before the game.

QBs Will Howard and Avery Johnson

Will Howard has been the team's starter so far this season. However, Avery Johnson has emerged splitting time with Howard. Their coach said their gameplay for the game was to have both players receive playing time in this game. TCU needs to be aware of these two quarterbacks; they know what Will Howard can do, but Avery Johnson is also very talented and special in his own way. They are both quick players, so TCU will need to prepare for them to run a lot. TCU will also have to be prepared for both players because they will try and have the Frogs on their heels the whole game.

RB DJ Giddens

DJ Giddens is a very talented back with a big frame. His acceleration is also very impressive; once he breaks through lines, he is off to the races. TCU needs to hold him, or he will be an additional problem. He has the potential to tear through defenses and cause more problems.

TE Ben Sinnott

Ben Sinnott, a 6'4", 245 lb. tight end, has been one of the team's biggest weapons this season. He has been targeted quite a bit this season and has been a reliable option to go repeatedly. TCU must watch for him and ensure he is covered, or he will be a huge problem.

WR Phillip Brooks

Phillip Brooks is arguably the best offensive weapon this team has. He leads the team in receiving yards and is Will Howard's go-to option. He isn't very tall but quick and runs great routes. TCU must keep up with him at all times, or he will make the defense pay. Brooks is also the team's returner, so TCU needs to be prepared for his speed and ensure he doesn't get upfield.

CB Kobe Savage

Kobe Savage is one of the best defensive players on this roster. He covers and challenges some of the top receivers in the nation. He is very physical and quick to get to the ball. Josh Hoover needs to take care of the ball and make his throws count, or Savage will make it hard on the TCU offense.
