Know Your Foe: Oklahoma Football Players to Watch
The TCU Horned Frogs take on Oklahoma on Friday, November 24. Here are some key players on the Oklahoma team that TCU fans should know before the game.
Oklahoma has one of the most talented rosters in college football, so it was tough to select just a few. Here are some players that I think could be difference-makers in this matchup.
Know Your Foe- Oklahoma Sooners
QBs Dillon Gabriel or Jackson Arnold
TCU will again have to prepare for two quarterbacks. Dillon Gabriel is listed as probable. However, he did suffer an injury in his last game. If Gabriel is out, Jackson Arnold will be the Sooners' backup plan. Both quarterbacks are impressive and are hard to stop. Gabriel has a solid arm and can make throws all over the field. He also can use his feet to escape trouble. Arnold has a decent arm as well. The only thing that sometimes holds him back is his size. TCU must prepare for both Arnold and Gabriel just in case the Sooners decide to use them both.

RBs Gavin Sawchuk, Tawee Walker, and Marcus Major
Oklahoma has a powerful running back core with these three backs and a few others. They use a mixture of them all to keep defenses guessing.
Gavin Sawchuk is not the most powerful back. He uses his speed and his patience to find a hole. He is really good when able to get to the outside.
Tawee Walker is a more confrontational back. He likes contact and is not afraid of it. He has quick pick-up speed and will power through the defensive lines.
Marcus Major has been dealing with an injury, so it is uncertain if he will play on Friday. However, he is an experienced back with patience and speed, allowing him to weave through defenses. T
CU must stop this powerful Oklahoma rushing game to be successful in this matchup.

WRs Drake Stoops, Nic Anderson, and Jalil Faroq
Oklahoma has a talented reciting core, and they get a lot of action as Gabriel throws the ball a lot. They are hard to stop and cover because they have so many options.
Drake Stoops has always been a solid receiver, but he has had a breakout year this season and has been their go-to option. Stoops is very quick and has excellent hands, making him very hard to contain.
The young freshman Nic Anderson has also been tremendous this season. He has been great on deep routes and has the height to give him better chances to score on tight coverage.
Jalil Faroq has been dealing with an injury, but Coach Brent Venables said he will likely be available. Faroq is a big weapon for this Oklahoma team. He is effective in the slot as well as on the perimeter. He is very good at getting open with his balanced route-running skills. He does not have great breakout speed but has enough speed for his position.
TCU did a decent job covering a good Texas receiving core so that they can cover this talented Oklahoma receiving core. However, they must come in prepared and ready for anything.

LB Danny Stutsman
Danny Stutsman has been Oklahoma's lead defensive player this season. He is very talented at stopping the pass. Stutsman closes in on receivers very quickly and can break up passes. He is good at reading the field and envisioning what's happening around him. TCU needs to make quick throws, so he does not have time to settle in.
