After having zero players picked in the 2022 NFL Draft, the TCU Horned Frogs have 10 players in the draft pool this year. Receiver Quentin Johnston and guard Steve Avila headline the group, but when May rolls around, all 10 may be selected. Other notable names to watch include Dylan Horton, Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson, and Max Duggan.

Where do the top NFL Draft experts rank these players this year? Will we see any come off the board in Round 1?

TCU NFL Draft Prospects: Average Rank & Round

For the exercise, I averaged rankings from CBS, ESPN, PFF, and The Draft Network (TDN). I also took into consideration prospect rankings from NFL's Daniel Jeremiah and ESPN's Todd McShay and Mel Kiper Jr. for those who qualified.

15. Quentin Johnston, WR, first-round pick

49. Steve Avila, OG, second-round pick

95: Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson, CB, third-round pick

164. Kendre Miller, RB, fifth-round pick

186. Dylan Horton, EDGE, sixth-round pick

236. Dee Winters, LB, seventh-round pick

241. Derius Davis, WR, seventh-round pick

284. Max Duggan, QB, undrafted free agent (UDFA)

324. Alan Ali, OL, UDFA

NR. Taye Barber, WR, UDFA

Draft Projections

Just because players like Max Duggan and Alan Ali are listed past the 259th rank (the final pick in the NFL Draft) doesn't mean they'll go undrafted, especially Duggan. The Heisman Trophy runner-up met with the Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers in the draft process and will likely be selected in a later round. Duggan is listed as the QB9 by both Mel Kiper Jr. and TDN.

Quentin Johnston's draft stock has fallen throughout the offseason, but he remains a likely first-round selection. Some mock drafts pin him as highly as 13th to the Houston Texans and some later in the 20s to the Giants.

Guard Steve Avila has seen an opposite trajectory and his draft stock has risen. While not quite on the Round 1 fringe, Avila is becoming a strong second round pick prospect, ranked as highly as 36th (CBS) and as low as 64th (TDN).

Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson is the final TCU Horned Frog ranked inside the top 100. PFF is the most bullish on Hodges-Tomlinson, ranking him 59th overall; CBS is more bearish, ranking him 160th – an outlier ranking from the rest of the outlets.

Of the remaining TCU alumni, running back Kendre Miller is the most likely to have a large role this coming season, especially among fantasy football players. Miller averages 164th, but is ranked 97th by PFF. Kiper Jr. ranks him sixth among running back and fantasy football outlets like the Fantasy Footballers project him to be a top-10 rookie fantasy football option.

Check back next week for a mock draft involving all of the TCU Horned Frogs!
