The No. 1-ranked TCU equestrian team outclassed the No. 7-ranked Oklahoma State Cowgirls, 14-6, on Friday afternoon at KSM Bear Creek Farm. Earning three of the four Most Outstanding Performer awards (for Ashleigh Scully in Fences, Lilly Goldstein in Flat, and Mattie Dukes in Horsemanship), for the first time in school history, the TCU Equestrian team stands at a perfect 10-0 record.
The day began well, with the Frogs topping the Cowgirls in Fences 4-1. Earning a 78, Ella Bostwick won the first point for the Frogs. Scully's 89 earned her the MOP, almost matched by Sydney Berube who scored an 88. Jordan Scelsa closed the event and secured the Frog's fourth point with an 87.
Next came Reining, which the Cowgirls narrowly won, 3-2. Of TCU's two points, one came from Giorgia Medows, who scored a 71.5 on Smooch, and the other was attributable to Jessica McAllister, with a 69.5 on Britney.
TCU regained momentum in Flat, securing a 4-1 victory over the Cowgirls. Scully tied her career high score of 91 on Lui. With an amazing 93, Goldstein took home the MOP and achieved her career high score. Berube and Bostwick closed out the event, both with triumphant scores of 89.
