TCU Volleyball: Sarah Sylvester Earns First Career Big 12 Player of the Week
It was a good weekend for TCU Volleyball going 2-1 in College Station including a big time win over the Texas A&M Aggies in four sets. It was an even bigger weekend for Sarah Sylvester who received the award for Big 12 Player of the Week. Sylvester became just the second player at TCU to record 13 blocks in a single match.
It was a block party all weekend for the Frogs as both Sylvester and Brianna Green combined for 43 blocks. The 13 blocks was also the second-best total by a player this season. Sarah has started all eight games for the Frogs this season and currently leads the team in blocks and is fifth in points.
After this remarkable weekend, Sylvester has moved into ninth in the NCAA and second in the Big 12 in blocks per set with 1.57.
Sylvester and the Frogs will look to keep the momentum rolling when they head back home for the "Fight in the Fort." TCU will host Hawaii on Thursday at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
