The Horned Frogs have added four transfers to their program ahead of the 2023 season. Get to know them before seeing them on the pitch in Fort Worth.

Jennie Immethun: Midfielder

The youngest of all the transfers joining the Horned Frogs this season is Jennie Immethun. Originally from San Jose, CA, Immethun played at Piedmont Hills High School. Out of high school, Immethun was ranked as the 55th club soccer player in the nation by TopDrawerSoccer. She played club soccer with the Quakes and Bay Area Surf, where she won the 2021 Girls Academy League National Championships and the 2022 U19 Girls Academy League.

She then took her talents to southern California where she spent her freshman season with Loyola Marymount University. Appearing in all 17 matches for the Lions, Immethun made 15 starts and amassed 1,190 minutes.

Immethun will look to make an impact in her sophomore year–her first as a Horned Frog.

Sandra Jakobsen: Forward

Born in Svendborg, Denmark, Sandra Jakobsen played three seasons at Central Methodist University, before transferring to TCU for her graduate season. While playing in Missouri for the Eagles Jakobsen tallied 37 goals and 41. She had a breakout freshman campaign that saw her selected NAIA Third-Team All-American. Scoring 20 goals and dishing 15 assists she was also named to the Heart All-Conference First-Team.

In Jakobsen’s second season at Central Methodist, she set a school record with 18 assists in a single season and was named NAIA First-Team All-American. Her third and final season was equally successful where she bagged 11 goals and eight assists.

She finished her career with the Eagles being named the Heart Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year, along with a Heart First-Team All-Conference selection. Over her 65 games with the Eagles, Jakobsen holds a school record with 44 career assists.

Maddie Mooney: Defender

Maddie Mooney spent her first two seasons of collegiate soccer for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Before then, Mooney competed with Crossfire Premier ECNL in her hometown of Seattle, WA, winning two Washington State Championships in 2015 and 2016.

Her achievements caught the attention of Notre Dame, with whom she totaled 26 games and recorded 15 shutouts. In 2022, Mooney appeared in both the 1st and 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament, providing valuable minutes to Notre Dame when they defeated Omaha and Santa Clara.

Now joining TCU, the team Notre Dame defeated in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament last year, Mooney will look to provide veteran experience to an ever-so-exciting program.

Petie Nassetta: Midfielder

Originally from Arlington, VA, Petie Nassetta played for Yorktown High School. There she was a part of the team that won the 2017 Virginia State Championship–Yorktown’s first-ever state title in women’s soccer. She competed in both soccer and swimming at Yorktown, before spending four seasons at Bucknell University.

Nassetta made 55 starts in 65 appearances for the Bison and logged 5,077 minutes in what was quite the illustrious career. Playing in a deeper role as a defensive midfielder, Nassetta bridged the gap with her backline, leading the Bison to 11 clean sheets. Her veteran presence earned her the captain’s armband in her senior year, where she led Bucknell to its second-consecutive conference championship.

With Nassetta joining TCU, the Frogs look forward to another exciting season full of high expectations for one of the nation’s top programs.

With these four new transfers, TCU has bolstered its squad and veteran presence. Stay tuned as the Horned Frogs take on SMU in their season opener at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium on August 17.
