TCU Adding Nine Members to Athletics Hall of Fame on Thursday

TCU Athletics will induct nine new members into the Hall of Fame on Thursday in the Brown-Lupton University Union. The 55th class will also be recognized at Saturday's home game against West Virginia.
Here are the nine members of the class of 2023 that will be honored:
TCU Hall of Fame: Class of 2023
1983 Women's Golf Team

Led by head coach Fred Warren, the 1983 TCU women's golf Team became the first TCU women's program to win a national championship in any sport. Marci Bozarth, Jenny Lidback, and Rita Moore were named All-Southwest Conference honorees, while Bozarth and Lidback also earned All-American honors.
Scott Atchison (Baseball, 1999)

Scott Atchison pitched for the Horned Frogs from 1995-99. He was named to All-Southwest Conference honors in 1995 and 1996 before earning All-Western Athletic Conference in 1999, the same year he won the program's Outstanding Pitcher Award. Atchison went on to play in the MLB from 2004-15, playing for the Mariners, Giants, Red Sox, Mets, and Indians.
Tank Carder (Football, 2011)

Tank Carder was a three-time All-Mountain West Conference selection (2009-11), earning MWC Defensive Player of the Year in 2010 and 2011, the same years he was an All-American honoree. He was a fifth-round NFL Draft pick by the Bills in 2012 and played five seasons in the NFL for the Browns (2012-16).
Kishelle Paul Guy (Track and Field, 2009)

Kishelle Paul Guy was a three-time All-American for the Horned Frogs, primarily running the third leg for TCU in the 4x400 relay event. She was the Mountain West Conference Indoor Champion in 60-meter hurdles in 2006 and 2008. Guy was also a four-time MWC Outdoor Champion in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in first place from 2006-09.
Matt Purke (Baseball, 2013)

Matt Purke is TCU's all-time leader in single-season wins (16) and second-most in single-season strikeouts (142) from his spectacular 2010 season. This also came after being a first-round pick in the 2009 MLB Draft but choosing to attend TCU instead. The 2010 All-American and National Freshman of the Year was drafted by the Washington Nationals in 2011 and debuted with the White Sox in 2016.
Sarah Scherer Oursland (Rifle, 2013)

Sarah Scherer Oursland was an eight-time All-American for both air rifle and smallbore all four years she was at TCU. She was a part of two team national championships in 2010 and 2012 and was also an individual national champion in the smallbore event. Scherer Oursland became a two-time Olympian in 2012 and 2016.
Carrie von Uhlit (Equestrian, 2010)

Carrie von Uhlit is the first equestrian athlete to be inducted into the TCU Hall of Fame. She is TCU's all-time leader in wins (89), victories in Reining (49), overall win percentage (.739), single-event winning percentage (.778 in Horsemanship), and Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) Awards (24). She was also a part of the team that beat Georgia in the 2008 Western National Championship.
David Medanich (Men's Soccer, 1979)

David Medanich was a three-time All-Southwest Conference player for TCU from 1977-79, scoring a school-record 93 goals overall in his career. He joins his father, Frank Medanich '44, who was inducted into the TCU Hall of Fame as a football player in 1993.
Chris Hall (Special Contributor)

Chris Hall served as the longest-tenured Athletic Trainer for the TCU Athletics department for 30 years. A 1983 TCU graduate, Hall became the Horned Frogs' Director of Sports Medicine in 2003. Before retiring in 2015, he worked with and covered every sport that competed for the Frogs.
This group of members is extremely deserving and will be a great addition to the TCU Hall of Fame. Make sure to look out for them at the football game this Saturday.
