Now that the 2022-23 season has wrapped up, it's time to acknowledge that this was the best year ever for TCU sports fans. From making the college football national championship to the final four in baseball, the success carried over many sports. Six TCU teams reached the national semifinals in their sports-baseball, beach volleyball, equestrian, football, men's tennis, and rifle.

With that being said, here are my top ten most memorable moments of the 2022-23 sports season.

Honorable Mentions Include:

- Chuck O'Bannon's Game Winner at Baylor

- Max Duggan's Big 12 Championship Performance

- So Many Awesome Football Wins (Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, etc.)

Top 10 Memorable Moments of the 2022-23 TCU Sports Year

10. Making the National Semifinals in Beach Volleyball, Equestrian, and Rifle

TCU truly is an everything school.

While so much attention throughout the year is on the three major sports, it is important to recognize that TCU totaled six teams to reach the national semifinals in their sport, including these three. That is so hard to do. The success of even the smaller sports at TCU showcases just how deep TCU Athletics are, and these sports definitely deserve their shine.

9. Men's Basketball Beating Kansas 83-60 at Allen Fieldhouse

This victory for TCU was their first win at Kansas ever and most likely their best road win in program history. They went into Allen Fieldhouse and beat the Jayhawks by 23 points, the second-largest home loss for Kansas in the Bill Self era.

The "Shahada Wells Game" made a statement that TCU basketball was ready to compete with anyone and that the program is on the rise.

8. Tre Richardson's 3 Home Run Game Against Arkansas

This performance by Tre Richardson broke records in the NCAA Tournament at the Fayetteville Regional. Richardson hit three home runs, including two grand slams, and tied the NCAA record with 11 RBIs in the Frog's 20-5 win over Arkansas.

This was one of TCU's signature moments in their run to the College World Series and will serve as one of the best single-game performances in college baseball history.

7. Football's 43-40 2OT Win Over Oklahoma State

TCU came into this game riding the high of a thrilling win at Kansas the week before to remain undefeated. However, Oklahoma State was the first top 10 team they would face at this point and served as a real test to how good the Horned Frogs really were.

After falling down 17 points, TCU won in double overtime 43-40 in one of the most thrilling games of the season. As fans rushed the field, everyone started to realize that this team wasn't a fluke and a special season was happening.

6. Men's Tennis Indoor National Championship

Although tennis may not get the attention other sports do, it's important to realize just how special this team was. TCU won their second straight indoor national championship this February by shutting out Texas 4-0. This put a bow on the first-ever undefeated season in indoor play for TCU and made them just the seventh program in history to win back-to-back championships.

You don't see this type of dominance in men's tennis often.

5. Football's 17-10 Win at Texas

All season long, as TCU continued their win streak, the media targeted their game at Texas as the moment they would fall. In a primetime night game that ESPN's College Gameday was in attendance for, the 9-0 Horned Frogs were 7.5-point underdogs.

Despite this mark, the 3-3-5 defense simply shut down anything the Longhorns could do leading to a 17-10 win. They had passed arguably their biggest test all season.

4. "Hypnotoad on the Hardwood"

TCU's basketball season was definitely a roller coaster ride. As they headed into the NCAA tournament, they had lost their season-long starting big man, Eddie Lampkin Jr., due to personal reasons and needed to find a solution quick.

They found themselves having to claw back from a deficit against Arizona State in an extremely entertaining game. When Arizona State threw a double team at Mike Miles, Jakobe Coles, who was in the game because of Lampkin's absence stepped up like he had done all season and hit the game winning floater. The emotional win couldn't have happened in a better way and instantly became one of the most iconic games in TCU basketball history.

3. "Bazooka"

The balls on Coach Dykes and Tommerdahl...the announcer's call...the situation...

One of the coolest plays you'll ever see that saved the undefeated season.

2. Baseball's College World Series Run

On April 30, TCU Baseball stood at just 23-20, not thinking they would even make the tournament. They ended up finishing 44-24, winning the Big 12 Tournament and going 11-2 in postseason play on their way to the national semifinals.

The combination of young talent, historic performances, and IHOP breakfasts made fans fall in love with this team and finish with one of the most magical seasons in program history.

This game was so awesome.

After being doubted the entire season, the Horned Frogs had one more chance to prove why they deserved to be in the College Football Playoff. As 7.5 underdogs, in one of the most thrilling games you'll ever see, TCU became the first Big 12 team and team from Texas to win a Playoff game. The Frogs earned the right to play in the National Championship and were able to showcase their school on the highest level possible.
