How To Watch: Tennessee vs. Oklahoma
The Tennessee Volunteers are set to play yet another baseball game today. After a dominant performance overall against Texas Tech, the Volunteers are set to take on the Oklahoma Sooners in their second test of the regular season.
The Volunteers had two dominant pitching performances last night on the mound. AJ Russell pitched 4.1 innings and had ten strikeouts on the night, only giving up three hits and two runs before getting pulled. AJ Causey was the relief pitcher to get the call and dominated in his time as he pitched 4.2 innings. He didn’t give up a single run and had seven strikeouts. Causey also only gave up two hits, which shows his true potential early on in the season.
Batting was led by the star Clemson transfer Billy Amick. Amick hit a two-run shot to give the Vols their first regular season lead. He had four at-bats, two hits, 2 RBIs, two runs, and a single home run.

The expected pitcher for the Volunteers is Drew Beam. Beam was the Sunday/Day 3 starter for the Volunteers for the past two seasons but has found himself potentially moving up. Formerly working behind Chase Dollander, Andrew Lindsey, Chase Burns, Blade Tidwell, and others, Beam has shown a true consistent tendency. The Vols are looking to take home another win and do whatever it takes to go into day three with two wins. Vols vs Sooners is officially on deck.
