Betting Guide: South Carolina vs. Tennessee

A guide to betting on the matchup in Neyland Stadium between the Tennessee Volunteers and South Carolina Gamecocks. All odds courtesy of Caesar's Sportsbook.

On Saturday, the Tennessee Volunteers will kick off against the South Carolina Gamecocks for their second SEC matchup of the season. Kickoff time has been placed at 7:30 p.m. E.T. Currently, the odds have Tennessee favored to win by 12 (-12.0 spread) against South Carolina. The current moneyline odds for Tennessee and South Carolina are -110. The over/under for the game is at 63.5.

It can be a toss-up regarding spread betting on this game. The Vols are 2-2 this season against the spread. One of their losses against the spread includes their only SEC game to date, a loss to Florida. The Gamecocks have favored the spread a little better this season, as they are 3-1 against it. The only loss against the spread was at the beginning of the year to UNC, where they were +3 heading into it.

The Vols have mostly been hitting under this season for the over and under bets. The offense recently got back into a little rhythm against the UTSA Roadrunners. It could be that now Joe Milton is starting to get the offense clicking consistently, and this game could show just how many points they can put up.

As for the Gamecocks, they have been 2-2 on point totals this season. But they have a high-powered pass attack that can allow them to put up a volume of points at any time. They are coming off a game where they hit the over, scoring 37 on Mississippi State. I think that these two offenses are too hot and becoming too fine-tuned for a slow defensive game. Because of the atmosphere and home-field advantage, I also believe that the Vols will win this game but within the Caesar Sportsbook margin due to South Carolina's ability to cover this season.

My Bets: Tennessee ML, South Carolina +12.0, O 63.5 points
