Halftime Report: Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt

The Tennessee Volunteers (7-4, 3-4) have jumped out to a hot offensive start against the Vanderbilt Commodores (2-9, 0-7).
In this story:

An ugly skirmish ahead of halftime took the wind out of an otherwise impressive first half for the Vols. Quarterback Joe Milton III has operated the offense smoothly, pushing the ball vertically and finding his receivers in open space. The defense has played aggressively, which has been a detriment at some points and also a plus in critical spots.

Halftime should be a needed cool-off period for both sides. On the actual football side, the Vols are winning in their strategy - attack on offense and defense while rotating many bodies in to keep their depth fresh. They've certainly found their motivation for the second half, and we'll see what Josh Heupel and company have in store for us in the second half.
