National Analyst Says Hendon Hooker Will Have "Productive" NFL Career

A national analyst covering the Reese's Senior Bowl says Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker will have a successful NFL career.
In this story:

Quarterback Hendon Hooker hasn't participated in on-field drills during the Reese's Senior Bowl due to a torn ACL suffered in the regular season. Nonetheless, he's impressed many people with his words this week.

Hooker told several media outlets he has been interviewing with teams and hopes to be running by the end of March. He set a timetable for his return, saying he expects to be 100% by training camp.

CBS Sports' Barrett Sallee tweeted that he expects Hooker to have a productive NFL career, comparing him to other quarterbacks in his draft class.

Hooker threw for 3,135 yards and 27 touchdowns against two interceptions. He flourished in Josh Heupel's offensive system, learning to go through multiple progressions and control an offense in pre-snap.

Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis have cemented themselves above Hooker in the draft process. NFL evaluators have placed a premium on intangibles, which most of those in front of Hooker have.

While many things are working against him in the predraft process, Hooker has managed to make the best of it. He does have fans in NFL Draft circles, and we will ultimately see what franchises think of him on draft night.
