Inky Johnson Speaks To Tennessee Football
While Inky Johnson didn't achieve his NFL aspirations, his legacy has gone much farther than the football field. He played for Tennessee in the early 200s before a tragic injury paralyzed his right arm and ended his playing career.
Johnson has become a world-renowned speaker who has impacted countless lives. He's one of the most famous speakers in the world, traveling across the globe to speak to different groups of people.
Tennessee invited him to speak at a team meeting on Wednesday. Johnson has remained vocal in supporting the Volunteers after his playing career, complimenting the staff who recruited him in several interviews.
While no videos from the speech have surfaced, it's reasonable to assume that head coach Josh Heupel wanted him in the building before the Volunteers begin preparation for the 2023 season.
It can be tough to close a season and immediately turn around for spring practice. This is the life of a college athlete, and the trials can be daunting, and sometimes you need extra motivation.
Johnson appears to have provided that, and he shared smiles with several current Tennessee players after he gave his speech.
