JUST IN: Jalin Hyatt Posts Impressive Combine Numbers

Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt put up some strong numbers at the NFL Combine.
In this story:

Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt performed as expected in Indianapolis. Hyatt is one of the most athletic players in the entire draft process and could make a lot of money with his strong showing.

Hyatt did the broad jump, 40-yard dash, and vertical jump drills. He recorded a forty-inch vertical, posted an 11-3 broad jump, and ran a 4.40-second forty-yard dash. While Hyatt didn't run as fast as many expected, his explosive metrics were excellent.

While the receiver class carries some solid players, there is yet to be a consensus number one. Ohio State's Jaxon Smith-Njigba, USC's Jordan Addison, and TCU's Quentin Johnston highlight the top group, but several sleepers make sense toward the back half of the first round.

UNC wide receiver Josh Downs is a popular name and is usually mentioned alongside Hyatt. Downs had a strong showing at the combine, posting a 4.48-second forty-yard dash and looking strong in the on-field workouts.

Hyatt is making a case for becoming a first-round pick. Mocks are typically split on him, with some outlets having him slip into the top of the second round. However, his long speed and athleticism are becoming more and more enticing.
