Jalin Hyatt Receiving First-Round Consideration

Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt has recently appeared in the first round of several NFL mock drafts.
In this story:

Mock drafts, mock drafts, mock drafts. That's the one overlap between the college football and NFL community, and outlets are releasing new mock drafts daily.

While we get new batches of trends, several interesting storylines have prevailed. Two Tennessee Volunteers have risen up boards, offensive tackle Darnell Wright and wide receiver Jalin Hyatt.

Wright excelled at the Reese's Senior Bowl, as he was one of the most consistent and dominant weekly performers. However, Hyatt has not taken the field since Tennessee's regular-season finale against Vanderbilt, where he caught three passes for 86 yards.

Two national outlets mocked him in the first round. ESPN's Matt Miller had him going No. 25 to the New York Giants, while CBS Sports had the San Francisco 49ers trading up to grab him at No. 29 overall.

Hyatt is one of the most polarizing evaluations in this class. His 6-1 and 185 lbs. frame appears much more slender than that, but he has game-breaking speed and rare ball-tracking skills.

There are few deep threats with a better resume than Hyatt. He has done it at a high level for consecutive seasons, and NFL evaluators are beginning to catch up with his prolific production.
