247Sports' Josh Pate revealed his four "sleeping giants" in college football. According to Pate, the Tennessee Volunteers have all they need to make a big run.

The University of Tennessee has some of the most storied college football teams ever. While the program has been largely dormant for the past two decades, they continue to hold many resources and are among the top name brands in college football. 247Sports' Josh Pate discussed this when identifying the four "sleeping giants" in college football.

Pate pointed to Tennessee as the primary factor to why they haven't achieved the heights many think they are capable of. The figures in place right now carry a lot of approval and confidence, and it's reasonable to see a path for Tennessee to be great.

"Nothing about college football needs to change fundamentally for Tennessee to go back to the mountaintop. The only thing that’s been in Tennessee’s way is Tennessee. And occasionally a misguided NCAA investigation or two…They still have the same resources they always had. It’s just that they can’t get out of their own way. It’s really hard to have the kind of synergy in place that it takes to win at the highest levels." - 247Sports' Josh Pate on Tennessee
