LIVE Updates: Tennessee vs. UTSA

The Tennessee Volunteers are squaring off against UTSA this afternoon. Volunteer Country has you covered with the latest.
In this story:

The Tennessee Volunteers are looking to get back on track after a tough loss to the Florida Gators last week. The UTSA Roadrunners stand in their way this week, and the Vols need to correct some things against them before moving on to conference play.

The biggest question is the passing offense, which has been unusually uninspiring through three games. We’ll see if they can correct things this afternoon - follow along to Volunteer Country for the latest updates on the action from Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee.

First Quarter

  • (7-0), 14:40 - Quarterback Joe Milton III takes an option keeper for 81 yards on the first play from scrimmage for a touchdown.
  • (14-0), 10:03 - Tennessee running back Dylan Sampson powers his way through traffic in the red zone for a touchdown.
  • (14-0), 8:41 - After a UTSA three-and-out, the Vols block a punt and gain possession only to fumble it back to the Road Runners, who continue their drive around midfield.

  • (21-0), 12:27 - Tennessee gets UTSA into a third-and-long situation, and after the Roadrunners throw a screen pass short of the line to gain, the punt teams come on. Tennessee takes over on its own 40-yard line.
