A fruitful 2022 campaign has done wonders for Tennessee's spending. The athletic department has always invested resources into the program, but more money means more opportunity to expand.

Front Office Sports reported that the Volunteers are looking into building a "Neyland Stadium Hotel" within the next few years. There aren't other details available at this time, but it's reasonable to assume the hotel would be built in conjunction with the stadium.

In the new world of NIL, athletic departments must constantly be searching for an edge. They must consistently renovate facilities, find new resources, and create some out-of-the-box experiences like this one.

Another report from 247Sports indicated that Tennessee is among the top NIL spenders in college football. The new world is relatively uncharted; there are new developments each week, and it feels like there aren't any clear rules.

However, the Volunteers are doing everything they can to gain an advantage. The state passed legislation last summer to allow high-school athletes to monetize their names, Tennessee's collective is one of the top groups in college football, and the athletic department continues to undergo projects that separate them.
