Tennessee Drops In AP Poll After Georgia Loss

The Tennessee Volunteers (7-4, 3-4) check in as the No. 25 team in the AP Poll after a frustrating loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.
In this story:

Things soured in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Saturday afternoon. The Vols hosted the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs, bitter rivals of Tennessee. The orange and white faithful were quietly hoping for the unthinkable, and things looked very good after Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright found a crease on the first play from scrimmage and took it 75 yards to the house.

However, the rest of the way, Georgia controlled the game. The final score read 38-10, but the game could have been worse than the scoreboard reflected. Georgia found ways to get the ball into their playmakers' hands in 1-on-1 situations while their defense rallied to the football and made plays

We'll see where Tennessee fits into the picture on Tuesday when the College Football Playoff committee releases their rendition of the rankings. It's been a tough season for Tennessee, but they still have Vanderbilt left on their regular season schedule before their bowl game.
