Tennessee vs. Georgia at Neyland Stadium is one of the most highly anticipated matchups in college football this season. The game may not be until November, but the talk from fans, the media, and now players, it seems, cannot stand to wait that long. Tennessee redshirt junior offensive lineman Gerald Mincey, who has extra hate for the Dawgs, having transferred in from Florida, took to Instagram comments to get things started.

The seven-game starter from last season replied, “we funna whoop that a**,” with shushing emojis on the end of it under a post talking about the expected noise at Neyland for the game against Georgia this season. His comment has made headlines, receiving plenty of likes and responses from both sides.

Last season, in a game of record-setting ticket prices between the top team in the AP Poll and the top team in the College Football Playoff rankings, former Tennessee quarterback Erik Ainge took to Twitter in the buildup of the contest with his thoughts on Sanford Stadium. Ainge said it is “not that loud and definitely not intimidating.” The Bulldogs defeated Tennessee in Athens, Georgia, 27-13, en route to their second consecutive national championship. Tennessee still had a chance to make the CFP after losing to Georgia, but a late season loss to South Carolina ended their chances. Georgia must travel to Neyland Stadium this year, where the Vols hope to give them a better game.
