Tennessee's Midweek Injury Report Ahead of South Carolina
The injury report is long for Tennessee this week, but the good news is that they could return many of the guys on this list. Head coach Josh Heupel was vague during his postgame UTSA pressers, essentially kicking the ball down the road and declining to provide specific updates.
He did confirm on Monday that starting quarterback Joe Milton III will be available, and wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope also confirmed that everyone in his group will be ready for the South Carolina Gamecocks this weekend. Here is the full list of notables on the injured list.
Tennessee Football Injury Report: South Carolina
- Joe Milton III - IN. A photo circulated earlier this week of Milton at the UT Medical Center, but Heupel said this was a precautionary visit in line with their daily health requirements. "I anticipate him being ready to go play really well," Heupel said.
- Jaylen Wright - (Undisclosed) - Wright left the UTSA game in the first half and didn't return.
- Ramel Keyton - IN. Keyton left the UTSA game in the first half and didn't return. Kelsey Pope did say he expects all his receivers to be ready this weekend.
- Bru McCoy - IN. McCoy left the UTSA game in the first half and didn't return. Kelsey Pope did say he expects all his receivers to be ready this weekend.
- Cooper Mays - (Knee) - Mays still hasn't made his season debut after undergoing surgery six weeks ago. According to On3, Mays hopes to return to the field this week.
- Keenan Pili - (Upper-Body) - Pili got hurt in the opener against Virginia and hasn't returned to the field since. Linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary has said he's still engaged and present, but this injury may hold him out even longer.
- Doneiko Slaughter - (Foot) - Slaughter has missed the last two games with a foot injury and could be a game-time decision. He is listed on the depth chart for South Carolina.
- Dominic Bailey - (Undisclosed) - Bailey left the UTSA game in the second half and didn't return.
- Christian Charles - (Undisclosed) - Missed the UTSA game last week. Listed on the depth chart for South Carolina.
- Will Brooks - (Undisclosed) - Missed the UTSA game last week. Not listed on the depth chart for South Carolina.
- DeSean Bishop - OUT for the season.
- Tyree Weathersby - OUT for the season.
