Tennessee Receives Seven Invites to the NFL Combine

Seven Tennessee Volunteers have been invited to the NFL Combine.
In this story:

Hendon Hooker, Jalin Hyatt, Cedric Tillman, Darnell Wright, Byron Young, Jeremy Banks, and Paxton Brooks received invites to the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine. The list was released Wednesday, and the event will take place in Indianapolis on February 28 to March 6.

The NFL Combine can hugely impact players’ draft stock, with 40-yard dash times often making the headlines. An interesting storyline headed into the event will be Hooker. While he won't participate in on-field drills after his torn ACL, Hooker impressed teams at the Reese's Senior Bowl during the interview process.

His draft stock may have increased after the Senior Bowl, which many thought was implausible heading into the week. Offensive tackle Darnell Wright and wide receiver Jalin Hyatt are hoping to sneak into the first round, and a big combine showing could propel them forward. Wright is another prospect that had a big Senior Bowl showing and impressed many NFL executives.

Coverage of the combine from Lucas Oil Stadium will begin on NFL Network on Thursday, March 2, at 3 p.m. with defensive linemen and linebackers and continue through the weekend on NFL Network with the other position groups.
