FINAL: Alabama Escapes Auburn

The No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide have narrowly defeated the Auburn Tigers

On Saturday afternoon, the Alabama Crimson Tide took their undefeated SEC record into Neville Arena and took down Auburn. The Tide survived what was arguably the most ruckus crowd in all of college basketball this season. Despite trailing early in the game by eight and again early in the second half, Nate Oats’ team fought back multiple times to come away with a 77-69 win to remain undefeated in conference play.

The Tide had a balanced attack spearheaded by Rylan Griffen and Mark Sears who finished with 16 and 15 respectively. Brandon Miller, the Tide’s most talented freshman and player, struggled shooting the ball, but impacted the game defensively and on the boards. Auburn was led by their point guard Wendell Green, who while inconsistent at times, made some huge plays to finish with 24. The Tide will head to Knoxville on Wednesday to take on Tennessee in what should be the biggest game in the SEC this season.
