How To Watch: Tennessee @ North Carolina

The Tennessee Volunteers take on a really strong North Carolina Tarheels squad tonight - we break down how to watch all the action.

Tennessee has a tough matchup tonight as the Volunteers take on the prestigious North Carolina Tar Heels. Both teams are off to a good start to the season, as they are both inside the top 25. Tennessee enters this game 4-2 as they have picked up wins against Tennessee Tech, Wisconsin, Wofford, and Syracuse while taking losses from two tough opponents like Purdue and Kansas. 

On the other hand, the Tar Heels are coming into this game 5-1 with wins over Radford, Lehigh, UC Riverside, Northern Iowa, and Arkansas, and their only loss was in overtime to Villanova. Tennessee has been led by standout transfers Dalton Knecht and Jordan Gainey, and the Tar Heels have been led by elite-level guard RJ Davis and top big man Armando Bacot.

Tennessee: A win will lock them into the Top 10 for another week, as this is their only game of the week. They will also likely move up in the rankings. They would secure a win for the SEC, as this is part of the ACC/SEC challenge. This would be a huge win when considering seeding in March as well. It would also prove they are good enough to compete in a tough road environment, in case you didn’t feel that way against the Wisconsin Badgers.

North Carolina: This would be your chance to move up the rankings to push for a top-10 spot, as they are currently ranked #17. This would also be a great seeding opportunity down the road, as this game will be considered. This would be a chance to pick up a win for the ACC in the ACC/SEC challenge. This would also prove that North Carolina can compete with any team in the country, especially at home.
