Josiah Jordan-James Excels In Return

In Tennessee's massive win over South Carolina, Josiah Jordan-James returned to the floor for the first time in weeks. The forward impressed everyone big time in his return.
In this story:

On Saturday, the No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers (21-8, 10-6 SEC) defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks (10-19, 3-13 SEC) 85-45 to end a 2-game losing skid.

This also means the Volunteers sweep USC in the season series, as they won back in January in Columbia. They are 10-1 in the last 11 against the Gamecocks.

The big story to come out of the win was the return of Josiah Jordan-James. The stretch forward made his first appearance since Feb. 8. Against USC, James finished with 18 points, leading the Vols in points.

James in a postgame interview on his immaculate performance in his return. "I felt like I could contribute. I felt whatever I could come out and do, I was going to do it. We are at a point in the season where we need as many people as we can."

James also spoke about the team's confidence going forward after the big 40-point win. "Day in and day out, you know good things are coming. We got high-character guys in that locker room who care only about winning and the team."

James also mentioned he does not feel 100% yet. The senior from South Carolina also had one of his most efficient shooting nights of the season, going a great 7-11 (63.6%) from the field and going a just as good 4-7 (57.1%) from three-point land.

His off-ball movement was key in the Vols' victory as he found holes in the South Carolina defense to expose for open shots.

Having one of their leaders back was great for the Vols as they gain much confidence with the win. On Wednesday, James and the seniors get their final victory lap in Thompson-Boling Arena against the Arkansas Razorbacks.
