BREAKING: Purdue Falls To Indiana

The Purdue Boilermakers, college basketball's No. 1 team, have fallen to Indiana, meaning there should be a new top team.

Purdue has been college basketball's top team for weeks now. The Boilermakers had one loss entering the action but have suffered several close calls during the past few weeks.

They faced off against the No. 21 Indiana Hoosiers, who came to play. Assembly Hall was filled with raucous fans who created a strong environment that fed the Hoosiers.

Forward Trayce Jackson-Davis logged one of his best games to date. He matched up with Purdue's Zach Edey, the odds-on favorite to win the national player of the year.

This drastically alters the landscape, as it should drop Purdue from that top spot. The Boilermakers have been trending down the past few weeks, and this loss cements that notion.

Tennessee may hold relatively firm in the next AP Poll. They lost to Florida on Wednesday but logged a quality win against the No. 25 Auburn Tigers on Saturday. Meanwhile, other top-ranked teams like Alabama, Kansas, Virginia, and others have all lost recently.

Houston seems like a favorite to be the No. 1 team come Monday. The Cougars are on a three-game winning streak after dropping an in-conference game to Temple in January.
