Air Noland's Decision Set To Alter 2024 QB Market

2024 quarterback Air Noland is announcing his college commitment on Saturday. Though the Tennessee Volunteers aren't involved, his decision causes a ripple effect.

While the Tennessee Volunteers aren't involved in 2024 quarterback Air Noland's recruitment, it's one worth monitoring. The four-star signal-caller has become the second biggest uncommitted name at the position, aside from Arizona native Dylan Raiola.

Noland had a record-breaking season at Langston Hughes High School in Georgia, tossing 55 touchdowns in his junior season and leading his squad to their first state championship in program history. He's the No. 95 prospect, according to On3, one of the top quarterbacks in the country. Noland stands 6-2.5 and 185 pounds with eye-popping athleticism and arm talent.

You may be wondering - how does this impact Tennessee? Noland has eight finalists, none of which are the Vols. However, he has strong SEC ties in among the remaining schools. Texas A&M is a top contender for Noland, and Alabama hosted him on an unofficial visit ahead of his decision. Those are two conference foes Tennessee is quite familiar with, and either adding Noland would be noteworthy.

Ohio State seems to be the No. 1 team, currently. Noland connected with head coach Ryan Day on a recent unofficial visit to Columbus and is enticed by the offense that made Justin Fields and CJ Stroud first-round quarterbacks. While Tennessee likely won't be playing the Buckeyes anytime soon, it would benefit them if Noland landed there.

His decision this early puts the Georgia Bulldogs in an interesting predicament. They are clearly interested in taking two 2024 quarterbacks; they already have Ryan Puglisi committed and are targeting Raiola. If they don't land Raiola and have to turn back to the open market, an in-state four-star will already be gone.
