Cash Williams Talks Tennessee Commitment
Tennessee baseball recently landed another commitment: Cash Williams. Williams is a 2025 6’1, 200-pound prospect from Choctaw High School in Oklahoma. He committed to the Volunteers on October 27th, and the catcher/shortstop took the time shortly after his commitment to catch up with Volunteer Country.
“The Tennessee coaching staff stood out the most about the program. They are a coaching staff I could see myself playing for in the future. They have a lot of the same philosophies when it comes to the hitting side, as well as the way the program just seems to have fun while competing at a high-level day in and day out,” the 2025 baseball prospect stated.
He then went on to talk about his visit to Knoxville to check out what the Volunteers have to offer, saying, “Tennessee has a nice mix of a country feel, but also a city feel. The best thing that I saw at Tennessee was the support from the fans. You couldn’t walk down the street without someone noticing the coaches or players. The fans there are just on another level. It is also such a pretty campus with it being right next to the river, and everything is just so close together.”
He mentioned the fact that he looks forward to playing in front of a packed-out crowd. When asked what he looks forward to the most when it comes to Tennessee baseball, he responded, “I look forward to playing in front of a packed house at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Also, to be in the culture of the program. Also, I want to go out and compete against high-level competition every day. Then I look forward to developing and becoming a better version of myself in the program.”
