Damien Shanklin Locks In Tennessee Official Visit
Warren Central High School edge rusher Damien Shanklin is a new name on Tennessee's recruiting board, but one that's gaining much traction. The Vols offered Shanklin in early November and have been building a fast relationship, quickly becoming one of his top suitors.
Shanklin has locked in three official visits for this summer, including one with Tennessee. He will be in Knoxville, Tennessee, from June 13 to June 16. He also has official visits scheduled with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Texas Longhorns.
According to 247Sports' Composite Rankings, he is the No. 163 prospect in the 2025 class and the No. 2 prospect in the state of Indiana. The Fighting Irish and head coach Marcus Freeman have done a nice job setting the tone in this recruitment, but that doesn't mean Tennessee is out of it. The official visit will be crucial in the process for the Vols here. Shanklin logged 66 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and three sacks during his junior season.
