2022 QB/ATH Destin Wade talks Tennessee, 7-on-7 and more

The 2022 gunslinger discussed his versatility across the field, what he’s heard from Tennessee and even off-the-field thoughts about what it will be like going to college with a twin.

2022 QB/ATH Destin Wade is a tall, powerful gunslinger with the ability to diversify his impact.

His height, versatility, strong arm and constant field vision mean that the upcoming senior can perform all over the field. And that’s just what he’s heard from Tennessee.

Along with his brother, Keaten, Destin helped lead the Summit Spartans to a 5A state championship this past season. Moreover, the twins will be essential for Summit’s transition to 6A next fall.

First, though, each of the Wade brothers is sharpening his skills for the “Dream Team,” which is a 7-on-7 team comprised of some of the top players in The Volunteer State.

It’s on that team that Destin can really flex that versatility, which he said will be essential for a Tennessee coaching staff that could use him at quarterback, but also at other spots across the field.

Above, Destin details his recruitment, what he’s heard from the Vols, what it’s like looking at colleges with a twin and much more.
