EJ Walker Talks Tennessee Visit And Atmosphere
Tennessee recently hosted many players on campus for visits. Coming from both football and basketball, Tennessee had tons of elite-level and high-level prospects on campus for what was expected to be a junior day but was held back a bit due to severe weather. One of the recruits who made it up was talented basketball prospect EJ Walker.
Walker is a 6-8, 230-pound class of 2025 prospect from Lloyd High School in Erlanger, Kentucky. He recently recapped his visit to Tennessee with Volunteer Country, providing tons of details on how his visit went.
"The Tennessee visit was good. Great facilities and a great atmosphere at the game with the fans. I also talked to Coach [Rick] Barnes about the visit; overall, they were happy to have me there. It was a good time," Walker stated. He followed up by diving deeper into his conversation with Barnes, saying, "It was good. It was short; he just introduced himself and said they were happy to have me on campus."
The talented basketball star was asked what caught his eye about the Tennessee system and play style from the game where the Volunteers walked away with a dominant win over a conference rival, the Alabama Crimson Tide. "What stood out about Tennessee was that they had great facilities, and I like how they use Dalton Knecht and Josiah Jordan-James."
He has yet to be offered, so he did say that the Vols aren't as high as they could be on his list; however, it seems as if there is true interest in having him in orange and white one day, as he was one of the very few basketball recruits in the building. "I think, like most of their wings and forwards, I can bring my versatility, being able to shoot, bring it off the dribble, pass well, and guard multiple positions," the prospect states. He also followed that statement: "I'd like to visit again."
