Faizon Brandon Talks Visit To Rocky Top: "Tennessee Is Definitely In A Top Spot"

2026 four-star quarterback Faizon Brandon (Greensboro, N.C.) visited the Tennessee Volunteers over the weekend and felt this visit was more special than his previous two.

Tennessee hosted many blue-chip visitors nationwide for the Georgia game, including a touted group of underclassmen quarterbacks. One of those names was Faizon Brandon, a 2026 gunslinger from Greensboro, North Carolina.

Brandon plays his high school football at Grimsley High, home to several Power-5 prospects over the years. In 2023, he led his team to an undefeated season and has been dominant all year. According to Max Preps, Brandon threw for 35 touchdowns, ran for nine, completed 69.7% of his passes, and had a QBR of 142.3. He already holds offers from plenty of schools, including Tennessee, North Carolina State, Duke, North Carolina, Louisville, and more. He currently measures 6-4 and 197 pounds and is ranked No. 75 in the nation, according to 247 Sports. He spoke with Volunteer Country about what separated this visit from his previous stops in Knoxville.

Overall, he felt his visit this time around went great. This is not his first visit; however, this one stood out. "It was great; this is my third time being at Tennessee, and every time I go, the coaches make me feel like a priority," Brandon stated. The Vols lost by four touchdowns to Georgia, which many assumed would hurt their chances with some of these players.

Brandon didn't see it that way. "I would say how when they lost, the coaches still kept their composure and didn't put the players down and just stayed positive after that." An important point of a visit is speaking with the staff. Brandon talked about his experience talking to the staff by saying, "I talked to Coach Mitch [Militello], and he was just telling me how there were some things they could work on and how he has seen Joe Milton grow a lot as a QB and mature to handle that game like he did."

Tennessee's coaching staff prioritizes consistent communication, and Brandon already feels that. "Every time I am in Tennessee, the coaches come and talk to me and my family while we eat or are on the field about how everything is going and how my past games went, and also talk about how they can get me back up to visit again." When asked where Tennessee sits for him, the talented 2026 quarterback responded, "Yes sir, Tennessee is definitely in a top spot, and I want to get back down there; I just don't know when yet."
