George MacIntyre Announces Commitment Details

2025 five-star quarterback George MacIntyre (Nashville, Tenn.) has been a premium target of the Tennessee Volunteers and will make his college commitment on Monday morning.
In this story:

Tennessee's coaching staff has been keyed in on Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre since the beginning of the 2025 recruiting cycle. Head coach Josh Heupel found an elite talent at a premium position in his own backyard, and the Vols have pursued him intently since. The home-state appeal, explosive offense, and coaching relationships have all made Tennessee stand out to MacIntyre, and he will decide between them and Alabama on Monday.

MacIntyre announced his commitment date on Friday afternoon. He also confirmed that he will announce at Brentwood Academy at 9:30 A.M. EST. The top uncommitted signal caller in the 2025 class has been trending toward the Vols for months - he knows that Tennessee had him as the No. 1 priority on their recruiting board since the start of things, which bodes well for them.

MacIntyre threw for 3,229 yards and 25 touchdowns during his junior campaign. He's also a standout basketball player who reports offers from Arizona State, Florida International, and Indiana. There's a lot to like about his game, and it will be very interesting to see who he picks on Monday morning.
