2025 Four-Star RB Gideon Davidson Schedules Commitment Date

2025 four-star running back Gideon Davidson has set a commitment date. Davidson is entertaining several major suitors, including the Tennessee Volunteers.
In this story:

2025 four-star running back Gideon Davidson is one of the top backs in America. The Virginia native logged 1,241 yards and 19 touchdowns... as a FRESHMAN. Davidson is a three-sport athlete that moonlights as a track star when he isn't running away from defenders toward the end zone. His top ten schools consist of most of college football's major programs: Clemson, Colorado, Iowa State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, and USC encompass that group.

He's decided to get the recruitment process finished early. Davidson has set a commitment date for Wednesday, June 14, at 11:45 AM EST. The Clemson Tigers are surging in this battle; he was their first offer at the running back position in 2025. Clemson doesn't offer underclassmen, but they dished out a wave of offers a few weeks ago. Clemson has been the favorite since that day, but Tennessee may be sitting at No. 2 right now. He attended their thrilling October victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide, an image that has been hard to shake for any recruit that attended.

He's been in Knoxville as many times as any other campus besides Clemson. The Tigers likely pull away in this one, but Tennessee has been committed to ensuring they give these track athletes a shot at running back. We will see if the Vols will push their chips in over the next few weeks.
