Vanderbilt Commit Jaren Sensabaugh Talks Recent Tennessee Visit
It’s not every day that you see a rival school’s commit take a visit. This was not the case with a current Vanderbilt commit in the class of 2024.
Jaren Sensabaugh is a current Vanderbilt commit who plays cornerback at Ensworth High School in Nashville, Tennessee. He currently measures in at 6'0 and 170 pounds, and he has been committed to Vanderbilt since June 20th of this year.
Sensabaugh recently visited Tennessee for the Texas A&M game, in which he got to see the Vols defeat the Aggies in front of a sold-out crowd. He took the time to speak with Volunteer Country following his visit.
“The atmosphere at UT was definitely one of one! Throughout the whole game, you could feel the energy of the thousands of fans and supporters at Neyland,” the corner stated. He was also very impressed with Tennessee. When asked what impressed him the most about Tennessee, he responded, “What impressed me about Tennessee was the hospitality of the entire coaching staff. During the pre-game, I was able to spend a lot of time talking with the coaches, and they really made me feel at home." Sensabaugh also followed up by saying, “My family and I had the chance to talk to Coach Heupel, Martinez, and Banks before the game. I really had a great time talking with all of them, and I am excited to continue to build this relationship.” The senior also expressed the importance of Tennessee building a relationship with him by saying, “It’s highly important to me. My whole family is from the southeast, so I would be within range for everyone to go to my games, which is really important to me.”
Anyone who was tuned in to the Tennessee game knows that the Corner group played a big factor in the win over the Aggies. Tennessee walked away with two interceptions. One coming from Gabe Jeudy-Lally and the other coming from Kamal Hadden, which put the Aggies away late. “The Dbs really showed out all night, playing lockdown defense with 2 INTs. I also admired the fact that Coach Martinez had the confidence in his players to put them in press man situations, considering that press man is most likely the highest valuable attribute on my tape,” Sensabaugh stated.
The Vanderbilt commit was asked by Volunteer Country if Tennessee would play a factor in his recruitment following his visit. "Yeah, for sure. Although I am currently committed to Vanderbilt, after visiting Tennessee, I am definitely more interested in seeing what they have to offer."The Vanderbilt commit confirmed. Tennessee has definitely made its presence felt in this recruitment.
