It's shaping up to be a visit season for Tennessee. The Volunteers are hosting several priority recruits this spring, and they will get another one in running back Jerrick Gibson.

Gibson is the consensus No. 1 running back in America. He has shared mutual interest with Tennessee for several months, and it seems they are getting several opportunities to impress him. According to Rocktopology, Gibson has planned an official visit to Tennessee on June 16 and will be in Knoxville for spring practice.

247Sports' Steve Wiltfong reported that Gibson has planned official visits with several schools. He's in high demand from several SEC programs, including Georgia and Alabama. The Texas Longhorns are also involved.

He was on Rocky Top over the summer, meaning he will have had a ton of in-person exposure to Tennessee's coaching staff. In October, Gibson released a top twelve: Tennessee, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Florida, Arkansas, Miami, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Oregon.

Gibson makes his living fighting through contact. He doesn't necessarily shoulder through defenders, though he has the frame to do so if necessary.

Instead, Gibson absorbs and works off the contact, using it as a propellor. He can quickly reset and reach top gear and adjusts his move out of the contact depending on if the tackler went high or low.

When he decides where to attack, Gibson can stick his foot in the ground and promptly cut. There isn't any wasted movement, and he can get skinny in windows while performing his cut.
