Jordan Marshall Narrows Recruitment
The Tennessee Volunteers are stockpiling explosive running backs. They have three proven options in Jabari Small, Jaylen Wright, and Dylan Sampson, with Khalifa Keith and DeSean Bishop entering the fold this offseason.
The coaching staff has zeroed in on a high-priority 2024 target. Running back Jordan Marshall is a product of Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Marshall stands 5-10.5 and 193 lbs. and is one of the better backs in America.
He cut his recruitment down to four schools on Thursday: Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Tennessee has once again found itself as the lone SEC program competing for a prospect who grew up in Big Ten country.
Marshall attended Tennessee's junior day and loves the coaching staff and culture on Rocky Top. He gave a glowing review to On3's Chad Simmons, and it seems like Tennessee is positioned well.
“They’re dominant, they’re not scared. What they did to Alabama and just watching them over their season, they really could be fighting for a national championship these next few years with Nico (Iamaleava) going there, a whole bunch of guys. Coach (Josh) Heupel is doing a great job there and I just love his laid-back personality. It’s not always football with him. We can talk about different stuff. And then getting to know coach (Jerry) Mack and the rest of the coaching staff a little bit more this past weekend was really good for me. The energy up there is just nuts and I could really see myself being a part of it.”
Marshall told Simmons he plans to commit around July 4.
