2025 three-star running back Justin Baker (Buford, Ga.) will return to Knoxville this weekend to see the Tennessee Volunteers.

Buford High School running back Justin Baker may be one of the most underrated prospects in the southeast. The talented rising senior will get an opportunity to run the show for the Wolves this season, a historic program in the competitive state of Georgia. Baker has been committed to Tennessee for months and is making his way back to campus this weekend.

He initially pledged under previous running backs coach Jerry Mack, who accepted the same role with the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason. New running backs coach De'Rail Sims has prioritized Baker since he took the job, and the two continue fostering a relationship.

The state of Georgia has been very good to the Vols in recent years. They've landed several major contributors on their current roster from the Peach State, and in 2025, all three of their commits play their high school football in Georgia. The Vols also went to Milton High School to land a pair of corners, Shamar Arnoux and Dylan Lewis. Baker had attention from Georgia, Michigan, South Carolina, and Penn State but ultimately felt that Tennessee offered him the best fit.

  • George MacIntyre, QB
  • Justin Baker, RB
  • Joakim Dodson, WR
  • Jack VanDorselaer, TE
  • Ethan Utley, DL
  • Dylan Lewis, CB
