Mason Alexander recently released a top schools list on January 2nd. He is a 6-0, 180-pound corner from the state of Indiana. Alexander is the No. 267 prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He is high on the Tennessee Volunteers, enough to include them in his top 12 schools.

Alexander states, "Recruitment has been great. I love the experience, and I love that I have the opportunity to explore schools outside of my general area. Even though I've made my top school recruiting-wise, it's still been really cool." He cut his list down to 12 schools and took the time to break it down with Volunteer Country. Take a look below.

  • Purdue: "The DBs coach Carter is a key factor in going to Purdue; he has just been recruiting me hard, and another reason would be that it's close to home, and if I went there, they would use me to my ability's and standards they recruited me for."
  • Wisconsin: "Down there, the culture is different, and the way they play, another thing is their academic program. Down there, it kind of fits what I wanted to do, not in football but in life."
  • Florida: "Growing up, I've always watched the Gators, and I was overly joyed to get this offer; not just living there but playing there was a dream for me."
  • Ole Miss: "When I went to Ole Miss, it was for a camp, and when I got there, everything was straightforward after I toured the facility, and I just loved the place. Everything there was different from Indiana."
  • Auburn: "Auburn is a school that recruits me hard. When I got the offer, I was beyond excited to have the opportunity."
  • West Virginia, Maryland, and Missouri: "The defensive back coaches at Maryland, West Virginia, and Missouri have great connections with my mentors, and they have been recruiting me since before I had any real notice."
  • Miami: "Same as Maryland, and they were the first team to reach out; they just didn't offer until later, but I've kept great communication with Coach Highsmith, and they think I can come and play early."
  • Kentucky: "Kentucky has always been one of my favorites. I picked up the offer early and just took what Coach Collins taught me and stuck with it."
  • Pittsburgh: "Well, with it being my first offer, they have been close while recruiting and have great connections with my mentors as well, and they were the first to see the potential that I have."
  • Tennessee: "Tennessee's coaching staff has been heavy on recruiting. I text with the coaches every other day, and I like the culture they have down there, and the environment and energy are just loud."
