Nashville CB Myles Pollard Talks Tennessee, Recruitment
Orlando, Fla.-- 2022 Ravenwood (Tenn.) Cornerback Myles Pollard recently released a top six schools list consisting of Kentucky, Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Washington. Since the release, Pollard's recruitment has only intensified as Auburn and Penn State have both jumped into the mix.
"Just Derek Mason being in Nashville at Vanderbilt, and he is a real good coach. Just him being able to show me his ways. Coach Etheridge, they are both really good coaches, both of them. Just scheme-wise, I think I could fit in really well," Pollard said of the recent uptick with Auburn.
"They have been hitting me up heavy," Pollard said of the recent interest from Penn State. "The new DB coach is on me hard. I just like what they are showing me and the program."
Specifically turning the page to Tennessee, the Vols have also communicated with Pollard more of late.
"It is still heavy," Pollard said of the recruitment from Tennessee. "It is really the whole staff. Their main message is saying I am a priority for them and I should know that, and saying Tennessee guys should stay in Tennessee."
"Coach Martinez thinks I am very versatile and can do a lot of things," Pollard added. "When he was at UT previously, he sent a bunch of guys to the league, so that is big for me. Coach Banks, I have known him for a while. He was my 3rd offer back at Penn State, so we have already built like a good relationship, so it is nothing new with him."
"It feels good to be recruited by the home state. Also, it feels good to know I could play with some people I already know here in Tennessee and just my future in Tennessee. I think it could be pretty good," he added about the pitch from Tennessee to stay in-state."
Pollard has one official visit set to Oklahoma on June 18th, and he will start planning more in the coming weeks.
