Nathan Roy Narrows Recruitment

Offensive tackle Nathan Roy recently cut his recruitment down to sevens schools, and the Tennessee Volunteers are in the thick of this battle.
In this story:

Tennessee has placed a premium on offensive line recruiting in the 2024 cycle. Offensive tackle Daniel Calhoun is their No. 1 priority, but there are several other faces to learn.

Nathan Roy is one of those names. Roy is 6-5, 265 lbs. and hails from Mukwonago, Wisconsin. While Roy is undersized, a few seasons in a college program should get his body up to speed.

Roy cut his recruitment down to seven schools on Thursday: Tennessee, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Minnesota, UCLA, and USC. Wisconsin seems to be positioned well in this battle, and he recently attended their Junior Day.

The Volunteers offered him on January 19 and made his top schools list less than a month later. He hasn't been to Knoxville yet, but Tennessee offers a litany of enticing opportunities for offensive linemen. The coaching staff doesn't require them to hold up for seconds on end in pass protection; the ball gets out quickly.

The only serious requirement from Tennessee is conditioning. They play at one of the fastest paces in America, which means offensive linemen must be capable of running 75 plays per game.
