Quinshon Judkins Talks Recruitment, Jerry Mack and Vols Re-Offer

Quinshon Judkins Talks Recruitment, Jerry Mack and Tennessee Vols Re-Offer

Norcross, Ga.-- Quinshon Judkins was recently re-offered by Tennessee's staff, and the versatile back from the Yellow Hammer state hears from plenty of schools at this point in his recruitment. He talked about his recruitment with VR2 on SI here.

"The recruitment is going well," Judkins said. "A lot of schools are coming in with offers. Weekly really. I am just continuing to build a relationship with coaches."

"Auburn, the in-state school, Michigan, Nebraska, Florida, Ole Miss, Miami, a lot of schools really," he said on schools hitting him up the most.

No schools is really separating from the pack at this point, as Judkins continues to work through the process. "I am showing love to everybody. The one thing standing out is the education. All of the schools have what I want to major in so that is a big thing."

Judkins plans to major in business.

With over 20 Division 1 offers in hand, the colleges recruiting Judkins have been clear on what they like about his game. "They like that I can run the ball: my elusiveness, my speed, my vision, all of that," he said.

Tennessee recently re-offered Judkins under Josh Heupel's staff and the Vols made it clear they like his game as well.

"I had coach (Derrick) Ansley; he was recruiting me during the season, then coach Mack hit me up and was like, you are a baller," Judkins said. "We still want you here.. We want you here bad. We talked that day and he re-offered me. I have been in contact with the director of personnel and all of them. A lot of the people on the staff there really care about me."

Josh Heupel's staff is a little late to the party, but Judkins plans to give them an opportunity, and what they have done so far by quickly showing him love has impressed him.

"They are standing out because of that. Most of the schools that got a new staff have re-offered me, but it stood out for them to do that," Judkins said. I know they really want me there, and I appreciate coach Mack. I like him. He is a good coach and a good person in general."

"He is a great coach, and how he has developed players in the past. He was just talking about life after football. He talked about football on and off the field, so I like that," Judkins said on his initial impression of Mack.

So what does Judkins need to see from Tennessee to consider them even more down the stretch? "Just continue to build a relationship with the coaches," he stated. "One of my good friends, James Robinson, goes there and he loves it. So, just continue to build a relationship with the coaches and get down there to see it for myself."

"I haven't set a date or a timeline since I am visiting some on my own in the summer; I will start working on that," Judkins said on when a commitment could come.

"I am looking for the education, the relationship I have with the head coach and the position coach, and the atmosphere on game day, it all plays a big part."
