Tyson Bacon Updates His Recruitment
Tennessee has been after plenty of recruits as of late. Tyson Bacon is one of the recruits involved with the Tennessee recruiting trail. Bacon is a 2026 edge rusher from Warren, Michigan. He plays high school ball at De La Salle Collegiate High School. He has visited with the Vols in the past and has heard from many schools. He updated his recruitment with Volunteer Country.
The 6’4, 260-pound edge states, “My recruitment as of late has been great; lots of SEC schools have been in contact.” He also states, “Mostly Alabama and Georgia have been in contact; Tennessee would probably be third.” When talking about which school or schools make him feel like a priority, Bacon responded, “Mostly Alabama. It feels very welcoming every time I go. I receive lots of fan love, and the coaches are cool.” He also says, “Not as of now, but very soon, I will be scheduling visits. I definitely want to go back up to Michigan, Georgia, and Tennessee. For first-time visits, I’d like to visit Clemson, LSU, and Texas.”
Bacon was then asked about his relationship with the Tennessee staff. “It’s good. I had a good conversation with Coach Harbin and Chop. Our relationship could definitely be closer, but with the film I’m about to put out this year, it definitely will.” When he was asked about potentially cutting schools and his plans, he stated, “Most definitely. It all comes down to relationships and how I fit the team. The timetable looks like summer 2025 for cutting schools as of now.” This will likely be a long recruitment process for which the Vols will be in the running. Only time will tell how big of an impact Tennessee will have in the Bacon recruitment.
