Elite DB, Denver Harris, discusses why Vols are in his top list of schools
Denver Harris is the next man up at Texas powerhouse, North Shore High School. Harris is a rising junior that already holds major SEC offers and has teams battling to stay in his recruitment. Harris recently released a top 8 schools list, as he works towards a commitment decision. Tennessee was on the list that included Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Texas, and Texas A&M. He breaks down what helped the Vols make the list here.
Harris said, "First and foremost, they were the first school to offer me, so that played a huge part." Tennessee offered Davis during the summer of his Sophomore year on May 17th. The Vols got a chance to host Haris a couple of weeks later for a camp. The camp helped the Vols cause as well.
Harris added, "I also visited last summer and camped with Coach Derrick Ansley and had a chance to see some of what Tennessee has to offer."
Derrick Ansley will be a key factor in this recruitment moving forward, and he has certainly caught Harris's attention. He said, "Lastly, Coach Ansley has had a lot of success in the past with developing defensive backs and preparing them for the league."
Harris is expected to be one of the highest-rated prospects regardless of position when the 2022 rankings are updated and could push for the top cornerback spot. He holds double-digit Power 5 offers, and this list should only continue to grow.
