Longhorns Drop Series Opener to Titans 6-5: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (3-5) are back in action on Friday night as they open a three-game weekend series against the Cal State Fullerton Titans (2-4). Both teams enter the Friday night matchup looking to avoid a three-game losing streak.
For the Longhorns, they started their season a disappointing 0-3 before rattling off three straight wins against Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Indiana to get back to .500. However, they lost the series finale against Indiana and a midweek game against LSU to drop back to 3-5.
The Titans also have lost two games in a row, as they dropped two games against Michigan before the third one was cancelled.
Texas turns to ace lefty Lucas Gordon, who has an 0.84 ERA and 13 strikeouts with just four walks in his two starts this season. If Gordon can quiet a lethal Titans lineup, the Longhorns will have a good chance of snapping their losing streak.
Stay tuned as we provide live updates as the Longhorns take on the Titans in a Friday night matchup.
Live updates will be available after first pitch.
