Longhorns Ride Dominant Pitching to 8-1 Win Over Jaspers: Live Game Log

The Longhorns look to keep the momentum rolling as they kick off a three-game series against the Jaspers.

The Texas Longhorns (6-7) are back in action on Friday night as they kick off a three-game weekend series against the Manhattan Jaspers (3-8) as part of a 14-game home stand. 

Texas started off the home stand in strong fashion, with an 11-3 blowout win over Mercer on Wednesday and a 7-5 win over the Sam Houston State Bearkats on Tuesday.

They were sorely needed wins for a Texas team struggling to a 4-7 record out of the gate, including a series loss to the Cal State Fullerton Titans. 

Now, though, they must turn their attention to the Jaspers as they aim to keep the momentum rolling from their two wins in the midweek. Stacking wins is important, and when you can pick up consecutive wins it helps build confidence.
