Longhorns Dominate New Orleans 15-1 to Clinch Series Win: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (12-7) are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they look to clinch the series win over the New Orleans Privateers (11-7), and extend their winning streak to eight games in the process.
Friday night saw another masterful outing from the Longhorns' ace Lucas Gordon, as he tossed six innings of one-run baseball, with the lone run given up being unearned. He struck out six and walked one while only giving up a pair of hits in his outing.
As for the offense, they failed to score seven runs or more for the first time on the home stand but still did enough to help their pitching staff. After two runs in the bottom of the first, they put up one more run in the bottom of the third in a 3-1 series opener win.
Now, they turn their attention to Saturday with Travis Sthele on the mound and looking for the series win and their ninth straight.
Stay tuned as we provide live updates as the Longhorns take on the Privateers on Saturday afternoon from Disch-Falk Field.
Live updates will be available after first pitch.
