Texas Shuts Out Cal Poly, Takes Series Opener 2-0: Live Game Log

The Longhorns kick off their second weekend series of the season against Cal Poly.

Welcome back, folks, as the Texas Longhorns (3-1) play host to the Cal Poly Mustangs (2-2) in their second weekend series of this young season. With the first game set for Friday night, they enter looking to keep the momentum going and rattle off their third straight win. 

On the mound for Texas is staff ace Lebarron Johnson Jr., who gave the Longhorns a solid five innings of two-run baseball in his first appearance against San Diego. The starter will look to turn in his second straight strong outing while the bats look to stay red hot after their 20-3 thrashing of Houston Christian.
