Longhorns Take Midweek Game Over Mavericks 10-5: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (32-17) are back in action on Tuesday night in a midweek matchup against the UT Arlington Mavericks (25-21), which kicks off a seven-game home stand to end the regular season.
Texas returns home fresh off a conference series win after taking two out of three games from the Kansas Jayhawks on the road. While they would have liked the sweep to better their chances of bringing home a conference title, a road series win in Big 12 play is still important.
Lebarron Johnson Jr. was the star of the series as his 12 strikeouts helped limit the Jayhawks to just one run over seven innings in a 6-2 win, both of which recorded career highs.
Now, they return home to kick off a seven-game home stand as they will not leave Disch-Falk Field for the remainder of the regular season - giving them an opportunity to enter postseason play hot.
