Longhorns Cruise Past Hurricanes 10-6, Win Coral Gables Regional: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (40-20) are back in action once again on Sunday evening as they take on the Miami Hurricanes (42-20) in the Coral Gables Regional final, looking to earn a trip to a super regional.
It has been a dominant showing so far in the first two games of the regional from the Longhorns pitching staff, with Lucas Gordon and Lebarron Johnson Jr. allowing only two runs while pitching 16 innings - with Texas needing only two innings of relief from Zane Morehouse in game one against Louisiana.
Against the Hurricanes on Saturday in the winner's bracket the bats were hot early, striking quick to take a 4-0 lead after the third inning. Those four runs were all Johnson needed on the mound, as he tossed a complete game to put Texas in the regional final.
Now, the Longhorns find themselves one win away from winning the Coral Gables Regional.
Stay tuned as we provide live updates as the Longhorns take on the Hurricanes from Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field.
Live updates will be available after first pitch.
